Jonathan Wateridge attended the Glasgow School of Art in the early 1990s before rejecting painting for almost fifteen years. Since his return to the medium, his work has been collected by Francois Pinault, Charles Saatchi, the Olbricht Foundation and Benedict Taschen amongst others; and can be found in the Anita Zabludowicz Collection.
He has exhibited in critically acclaimed shows such as The Saatchi Gallery’s Newspeak: British Art Now, an exhibition showcasing the next generation of British artists, and The World Belongs to You at the Francois Pinault Foundation's Palazzo Grassi in Venice.
